Terms & Conditions – Dream Voyage Safaris

These Terms and Conditions govern all bookings, services, and travel arrangements made with Dream Voyage Safaris (“we,” “us,” “our”). By confirming a booking, you (“the client,” “traveler,” “guest”) agree to be bound by the terms stated below. Please read them carefully before making any payments.

1. Booking & Reservations

1.1 Making a Booking

A booking is confirmed once:

You receive a written confirmation from Dream Voyage Safaris

You make the required deposit or full payment as requested

All bookings are subject to availability.

1.2 Client Information

You must provide accurate personal details, including:

Full names as per passport

Nationality

Travel dates

Special requirements (dietary, medical, etc.)

We are not liable for issues arising from incorrect information.

2. Payments

2.1 Deposit

A non-refundable deposit of 20–40% (depending on the package or lodge policy) is required to secure your booking.

2.2 Balance Payment

The remaining balance is due:

30 days before travel, or

As per the specific lodge or airline policy

Last-minute bookings require full payment.

2.3 Payment Methods

We accept:

Bank transfers

Mobile money (M-Pesa)

Card payments (where applicable)

Bank or transfer fees must be covered by the client.

3. Cancellations, Refunds & No-Shows

3.1 Client Cancellation

If you wish to cancel your trip, notify us in writing. Cancellation charges apply as follows, unless lodges or airlines impose stricter policies:

More than 60 days: Loss of deposit

45–59 days: 30% of total cost

30–44 days: 50% of total cost

15-29 days: 75% of total cost

0–14 days: 100% (no refund)

3.2 No-Shows

Failure to show up for your safari or flight results in no refund.

3.3 Refund Processing

Refunds (if applicable) will be processed within 14–30 working days.
Non-refundable services (park fees, flights, hotel bookings, etc.) will not be refunded.

4. Changes & Amendments

4.1 Changes by the Client

Requests for changes (dates, accommodation, itinerary) must be made in writing.
Additional costs or penalties may apply depending on the lodges and camps.

4.2 Changes by Dream Voyage Safaris

We reserve the right to adjust itineraries due to:

Weather conditions

Park regulations

Safety concerns

Lodge or airline overbooking

If such changes occur, we will offer an alternative of equal value where possible.

5. Travel Insurance

Travel insurance is highly recommended.
Clients are responsible for securing insurance that covers:

Medical emergencies

Evacuation

Trip cancellation

Loss or damage of baggage

Accidents or delays

Dream Voyage Safaris is not liable for uninsured losses.

6. Health, Safety & Travel Documents

6.1 Passports & Visas

Clients must ensure they have:

A valid passport (minimum 6 months validity)

Required visas for Kenya, Tanzania, or other destinations

We are not responsible for denied entry due to documentation issues.

6.2 Vaccinations

Travelers are responsible for meeting health requirements (e.g., Yellow Fever certificate).

6.3 Safety

Clients must follow:

Instructions from guides

Park rules

Wildlife safety guidelines

We will not be liable for injuries resulting from unsafe or negligent behavior.

7. Wildlife Sightings

Wildlife sightings are not guaranteed. Our guides will make every effort to maximize sightings, but nature is unpredictable.

8. Accommodation

Accommodations are provided as per the itinerary.
If a lodge becomes unavailable, we will provide an alternative of similar or better standard at no extra cost.

9. Transport

We provide transport as per the itinerary using:

Safari 4×4 Land Cruisers

Safari vans

Domestic flights where applicable

We reserve the right to substitute vehicles or flight operators where necessary.

10. Liability & Limitations

Dream Voyage Safaris shall not be liable for:

Loss, damage, or injury arising from natural events, weather, or wildlife

Delays or cancellations caused by airlines, hotels, or government actions

Loss of personal belongings

Events beyond our control (force majeure)

Our liability is limited to the total amount paid for the safari.

11. Complaints

If you experience any issue during your safari:

1. Inform your guide or our office immediately

2. Allow us reasonable time to resolve the matter

Complaints not raised during the trip may not be considered later.

12. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Kenya, and any disputes will be resolved under Kenyan jurisdiction.

Acceptance of Terms

By confirming a booking with Dream Voyage Safaris, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.
